Good Neighbor Authority Virtual Learning Series

Overview

The Western Forestry Leadership Coalition (WFLC) is excited to host a virtual learning series on the Good Neighbor Authority (GNA). This series provides an opportunity for state and federal agency representatives to expand their understanding of GNA, conduct peer-learning and information sharing, and explore the successes and challenges to GNA implementation across the West.

Learning Series Description

The WFLC GNA Learning Series is comprised of five individual virtual sessions (each 90 minutes). Session topics include understanding GNA, demystifying appropriate uses of the Authority, examining the financial management elements associated with GNA, overcoming barriers and addressing outstanding questions, and GNA case studies. The learning series will run September - November 2020.

Audience

Western state forestry agency, USDA Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management representatives with GNA responsibilities are invited to register for this learning series. GNA responsibilities may involve strategic development of the Authority within the state or federal agency, decision-making capacity for agreements and projects, financial management duties, and designing GNA agreements and projects. WFLC members are also invited to attend.

For non-state or federal agency individuals interested in participating, please contact Kelsey Delaney.
