GNA Learning Series: Understanding GNA

Session Overview The learning series will commence with a session dedicated to the fundamentals of the Good Neighbor Authority (GNA). Representatives from the USDA Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management will present a refresher on GNA basics, provide an overview of recent amendments, highlight differences in the agencies’ GNA procedures and processes, and discuss the intent of the authority to catalyze cross-boundary actions. Featured Speakers:  Lynne Sholty, USDA Forest Service Wade Salverson, Bureau of Land Management Audience Western state forestry agency, USDA Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management representatives with GNA responsibilities are invited to register for this learning series. GNA responsibilities may involve strategic development of the Authority within the state or federal agency, decision-making capacity for agreements and projects, financial management duties, and designing GNA agreements and projects.
