Western Urban & Community Forestry Network

The Western Urban & Community Forestry Network (WUCF) was established as a forum to share information, collaborate on program delivery, and advance urban and community forestry (UCF) in the West.

The WUCF Network provides a channel for ongoing communication and collaboration between Western states, the USDA Forest Service and forestry partners.

The WUCF Network creates opportunities to leverage and share resources, expand the transfer of technology, and cooperate on shared goals and initiatives, including multi-state competitive grant applications.

The expert WUCF Network addresses emerging and ongoing UCF issues at both the state and national level. It is a source of information and support for both the Council of Western State Foresters and the National Association of State Foresters

By bringing together the skills, talents, experience, and passion of Western UCF professionals, the Network is able to strengthen the efforts of each member state, empowering them to better serve the public.

Membership in the WUCF Network includes urban and community forestry coordinators from 17 Western states and six U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands, as well as a liaison from the Council of Western State Foresters and representation from the Forest Service.

The WUCF Network connects via quarterly conference calls to coordinate their ongoing collaboration. The Network also holds an in-person meeting each spring.
